At Katydid Photography, we are passionate about capturing the most precious moments of your life. Our journey began over three decades ago, when our founder, Kathy Peoples, discovered her love for art and photography. As a teenager, she spent hours sketching and painting, eventually transitioning to photography with a 126 camera. After receiving a GAF 35mm manual SLR camera as a gift, her passion for photography only grew stronger.

In 1984, Kathy opened her first studio in a converted local duplex home in Southampton, Pennsylvania. This humble beginning marked the start of her professional photography career, which would eventually expand into various classes, workshops, and private lessons. Over the years, she has served on the board of Delaware Valley Guild of Professional Photographers, held the title of Certified Professional Photographer with PPA, and been part of several other professional organizations.
