My journey in photography began when I was just twelve years old, armed with my first manual camera, a beloved Olympus OM10. I was instantly captivated by the power of capturing moments in time, the magic of transforming light into lasting memories. My curiosity blossomed into a passion, leading me to join camera clubs, hone my skills, and ultimately pursue photography as a career.

My formal education took place at the renowned Cheltenham College of Higher Education in the United Kingdom, where I graduated with a degree in Fashion and Advertising Photography. This foundation in artistic vision and technical expertise laid the groundwork for my professional journey. After graduation, my career took off when I was recruited by a prominent daily newspaper, where I spent a decade honing my craft. I began as a staff photographer, immersing myself in the fast-paced world of daily news, capturing the stories unfolding around me.

My experience as a staff photographer gave me a deep understanding of composition, lighting, and the art of storytelling through images. I later transitioned into the role of picture editor, where I curated and selected photographs for publication, refining my eye for powerful imagery and impactful narratives. This time broadened my perspective, allowing me to see the bigger picture and the role photography plays in shaping public opinion and understanding.

The desire for new challenges and creative exploration ultimately led me to freelance for leading picture agencies. I relished the freedom to work on a diverse range of projects, collaborating with clients across various industries.

From Newsrooms to Baby Bundles

While I had a successful career in news and commercial photography, my heart found its true calling in capturing the fleeting moments of childhood.

The arrival of my own children sparked a profound love for newborn photography.

I am utterly captivated by the beauty, fragility, and innocence of newborns. My studio, a haven of gentle lighting and cozy props, is designed to create a peaceful and nurturing environment for these precious little ones.

I believe that photographs tell a story, and each newborn session is a unique journey. I strive to capture not just the physical likeness of a baby but also their spirit, their personality, and the precious bond with their families.

My maternity photography sessions are all about celebrating the unique beauty and strength of a pregnant woman. I aim to create timeless images that reflect the joy and anticipation of welcoming a new life into the world.

First birthday cake smash sessions are a delightful way to mark this special milestone. I provide fun and playful props to create images that are as sweet and memorable as the occasion itself.
