Before I tell you about myself, which sounds incredibly egotistical, let me first cover one issue. The question I regularly get is, what do you really specialize in? I once had a portfolio consultant tell me I showed way too much work and that I needed to narrow it down and show a lot less. The fact is, in over 35 years of photography I've had the fortunate experience of shooting all kinds of people, places and things, for all kinds of clients with all kinds of budgets. What ties it all together and becomes the specialty is great lighting. I deal with lighting far better than most photographers. Anyone can go out and buy a multi mega-pixel camera and capture something, but at the end of the day, as one client who tried that discovered, he just had hard drives loaded with large files that were unusable because he was trying to shoot with just available lighting or a single on-camera flash. If you want to take great photographs great lighting is more important than the camera and that's the advantage 35 years of experience has given me.
