At Carl Sander Socolow Photography, we are dedicated to capturing the essence of everyday life through our photography. With over 44 years of experience in commercial, industrial, architectural, and editorial photography, we have developed a unique approach to storytelling through our visuals. Our process is rooted in the traditions of painters such as Breughel, Millet, and Pissarro, as well as the earliest depictions of daily life in the Lascaux cave paintings.

Our Story

Our interest in photography began in high school, and we have since worked as a reporter-photographer for the Perry County Times, a weekly newspaper in New Bloomfield, PA, and as a staff photographer for The Patriot-News, a daily newspaper in Harrisburg, PA. We have also founded Socolow Photography in 1984 and have worked for the past 26 years in commercial, advertising, architectural, and event photography.

Our Services

We specialize in commercial photography, providing visual content for clients such as Bethlehem Steel, Hershey Entertainment and Resort Corporation, Phoenix Contact, and PH Glatfelter Paper. We have also worked with regional clients, including hospitals, construction companies, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, and regional magazines. Our portfolio includes a wide range of photography styles, from architecture and industrial photography to editorial and commercial photography.

We have received numerous awards and recognition for our work, including the Artist Showcase Award at the "Interactions" Group Exhibition, the 2006 recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in Photography, and the 2007 First Place Award in Photography in "Art of the State: Pennsylvania".
