I'm Megan (she/her), an outgoing introvert and a mom to three kids ages 10 and under. I'm sleep deprived, totally joyful, and just a teensy bit frazzled. I laugh a lot (often at myself) and I try to find the silver lining of most situations. I spend time with people and families and make unposed photographs that tell a visual story of their lives. My work shows emotional depth and evokes a sense of magic by imparting my own quirky and dreamlike perception of reality into my art. The emotion in my photos is drawn from my introverted personality, where I found both the gift of being highly observant and a certain comfort in connecting with people through my camera. Quietly working with people's natural body language and energy, I create soulful images that are often fused with humor, joy, and tenderness. At the core of my work is a desire to create art that allows people to feel encouraged, seen, and loved.
