Based in Frederick, MD, Clare lives on a horse farm with her husband, Dr. Brooks Ahalt, a veterinarian at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital, and their five children, along with a variety of animals including dogs, horses, cows, pigs, and chickens. Clare is not only an accomplished photographer but also maintains an active career as a lawyer in Washington, D.C., and contributes to her husband's expanding veterinary business.
