With a career spanning over three decades, our photographer, Mick Hales, has built a reputation for his unique ability to "catch the mood" of an interior space, garden, still life, or situation.

Mick's journey as a photographer began in the early 1980s when he started working as a professional photographer in New York City. His early commissions included shooting for Francoise De La Renta at House and Garden. Over the years, he has built a substantial collection of photographs, showcasing gardens, architecture, and interiors. His editorial range includes Interiors, Gardens, Architecture, and Sculpture.

Born in England, Mick grew up in Pakistan and Nigeria before studying photography at the London College of Printing. He moved to New York in 1982 and has since become a respected figure in the world of photography. Mick is also an ordained Christian minister and has an itinerant healing prayer ministry. His wife, Christine Simoneau Hales, is a painter and iconographer.
