The Story Behind Gemma Schaefer Photography

Gemma Schaefer, the founder and lead photographer, has been living in Punta Gorda for over 17 years with her husband and two sons. It was her love for her children and the desire to capture their milestones that sparked her interest in photography. After enrolling in classes to learn more, Gemma Schaefer Photography officially began in November 2014, and she has never looked back.

Gemma's love for photography is deeply personal. One of her most cherished possessions is a black and white portrait of her grandmother taken in February of 1946. This portrait has been passed down through generations and serves as a reminder of the importance of capturing and preserving memories.
